The Finance Commission acts as an advisory board to the Pastor. The Pastor seeks their input and assistance based on their professional experience and personal knowledge of the Parish. While the Commission votes to gain an understanding of views on a particular issue, they have no authority to issue declarations to the Pastor on financial matters. However, their input is sought on all significant financial and business matters that concern Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. The Commission is responsible for assuring the necessary material resources including land, buildings, and finances that will enable our Parish to carry on the work of Christ. To a great extent, the effectiveness of the other commissions and the Pastoral Mission of the Church will depend on whether the necessary resources are available to operate the various programs and ministries. The Commission is responsible for the preparation of the annual budget. The budget preparation is done in cooperation with the parish staff as well as the other commissions and ministries. The budget is a guideline to be used by the Pastor. As events unfold throughout the year, adjustments can be made to the budget. Generally speaking, the process for revisiting budget items is to have the adjustments reviewed by the Finance Commission and the Pastoral Council. The Finance Commission is responsible for fund raising projects to stimulate greater financial responsibility by the members of the Parish. In addition to the Commission's responsibility for the preparation of the annual Parish budget and fund raising projects, they assist the Pastor in matters of Parish administration, construction and repairs, disbursement of funds, the preparation of the quarterly and annual financial reports, and the Bishop’s Appeal. Members of the Finance Administration are as follows: Martha Corkery – Chairperson Alexander “Alex” Ciampi Allen Anderson John Holland Timothy Verreault Colin Walsh
